Coach Glenn......

I, for one, think it is tough (and out of line frankly) to make a call at this point in the season (4 games into it), as to whether Glenn should be retained or let go. The part I am battling in my head, is that this is year 6, and we have seen limited success.

If you take the Glenn "personality" out of the equation...does it change your thoughts WyoNation?

I want NOTHING more than for the Pokes to regain prominence that they showed in the late 80's and late 90's...and with Joe Glenn & staff...I just don't know if it can happen?

You all?

I know. We should let him finish the year then decide. If we improve big time between now and the CSU, so be it. If we go down the drain AGAIN, fire his butt!

If Joe Glenn didn't come off as a completely pleasant dude who seems to really like and enthusiastic about Wyo, he would be gone. I actually feel bad that (if we continue to crap all over the football field) he is going to get fired, but if you can't do your job the way it is supposed to be done, you are pretty much screwed no matter how nice of a guy you are.

True Hank...unfortunately. Take the personality out of Glenn, and he probably was gone at the end of last year...maybe before.

I just don't know if the corner can be turned, 4 games into the season.

I, for one, am sick of Joe Glenn's personality. The used car salesman act gets old. His act is insulting, it may work for the average fan, but the constant sunshine pumping, even after looking like crap, drives me nuts. He needs to suck it up, take some responsibility and tell it like it is, instead of topping everything with icing. I agree he is a great fit for Wyoming, just not as head coach, maybe Laramie GM needs a new salesman.

It may be only 4 games into the season, but look at the performances during those 4 games. I have only been able to see the Air Force game and haven't seen (heard) anything that indicates that this team can all of the sudden be conference contenders starting with this weekend's game. I am feeling better about Glenn's stance on "perform or ride the pine". Maybe this is the wakeup call the players needed, or maybe it's the beginning of the end for a desperate coach....remains to be seen.

Or maybe it is a coach that is feeling the heat and starting to figure things out he should have done during the offseasons practices... Just my opinion.

I fully admit that I am a Joe Glenn supporter, and I think he rejuvenated the state in regards to Pokes football. The attendance was abissmal under Koenning, now we are averaging 20K fans or more per game. His personality was what we needed at the time. That being said, this is a make or break year IMO. We need to show improvement on offense soon, and if we don't get to 6 wins minimally (7 is the number I would use) and preferably a bowl game; I think Burman has to go in a different direction.

And then who would you hire to take his place?

Who would be available, and why?

Who, if available, would want this job?

What then, would you be left with?

Would they be better than Joe Glenn?
