For some reason, I am excited about the addition of Coach Cain to the staff. The greatest form of flattery is to hire the guy that beat you...granted, we didn't have Smith for Cal Poly, but his line held up well at any rate. Seeing comments attributed to him on twitter and hearing what Christensen (who has seen his fair share of DL schemes) has to say gives me hope that we might make greater gains with him as DL coach.

this position is going to start climbing again for us. I just cant say how early this season we make the turn. it may be October when this unit hits its stride. could be 4 weeks?
what impact will boyland have? that's my biggest question... is he motivated, or just shade-tree?

We have some good size along the Dline too. I'm intrigued by Broyland. He is big run stopping tackle. With him Uso, Mertens, Eddie, and the gang, we could be solid.
Like the move back to a 3-4. We had some salty defenses with Breske and his 3-4. Get back to that point with this offense....Damn.
