Chandler Garrett will be the key

I am so excited about this kid. As much as I love what Allen can do, I think Garrett will be much more important for the future of this program. He may not start right away, but he will be a difference-maker.

Just found a great feature written on him a month ago: http://newsok.com/article/5444338/?page=2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

From what I have been watching on Twitter from UW media, players and coaches...through all of the issues this year, we are still landing some good recruits. Class of 2016 is looking to be one of the better classes in some time. Now, if we can just keep them committed.

Very excited for Chandler to be a Cowboy. He could be a program changer. Also, DJM, agree -our crappy season does not seem to be affecting recruiting much. The class looks great and there is good reason to be optimistic about the program.

Chandler might also be the best recruiter for us this year. He had a hand in landing Jace Webb and Shiloh Windsor. Plus, he is bringing a wr with him that runs a 4.4 and is over 6' on his official visit.

Yes!

Excited for him to be a cowboy! But...I am not giving up hope on Josh Allen as the next starting QB at UW.

Reminds me of Austin Conway putting together our basketball class lol

I was going to mention that too....he is our football version of Austin Conway.

Drew Dan is the wr recruit.

I think Allen will certainly be the next starting QB and will allow Chandler to grow slowly into his role.

There is always an angle for recruiting. The team is struggling, but you can always play up the "playing time" angle in that case.

I wouldn't mind Chandler playing right away, it's not as detrimental as in the past (playing true freshman). Hell, our best season since the 90s was when UW started a true freshman QB.

The Bohl era will succeed or fail based on the level of talent that is being recruited, followed by development. Hopefully this 2016 class is the seed being planted during the dust storm.

Agree about Bohl will succeed based on his recruits and development of those players. Not sure about our best teams having freshman QB's. It can be debated that a couple of Joe Glenn's teams were better than any of DC's teams. Can't remember who started against UCLA in the Vegas Bowl....was it the younger Bramlett?

From what I saw of Josh Allen, I was very impressed.

He will be a perfect succesion qb. Redshirt next year be a fresh when allen is a junior and his soph year hopfully we cn get him in some games for some experience and his junior senior year lead our pokes.

Kirkegaard seemed nice enough; I like Cam actually. I just feel the redshirt senior QB thing has to commence. Take our lumps and roll with a young guy to get him experience. Whether that be Allen or whomever. May the best man win.

Were the Bramlett boys recruited by Glenn and his staff?
I think Vic....not sure though.

Yes they were Vic's

O.K. Thanks.

The reason I asked was that I keep reading that one of Glenn's biggest flaws is that he could find a QB. Well..the Bramletts were good QBs. In fact, Corey helped us beat UCLA, a P5 school, in Vegas for our first bowl win in what felt like a millennium.

My big problem with Glenn was his extreme loyalty to his assistants...some HAD to be fired but he wouldn't fire them. Anybody remember Cockhill?
