Can I get a Larry nance update?

I was in billings montana with the wife last night and missed the game. Did he still look exhausted for most of the game?

My mother had mono and claims she never recovered her energy to the same level after mono. I'm hoping that isn't the case with Larry .

I'm sure there has been some discussion but it didn't want to wade through all the depression to find it :)

I saw the stat sheet didn't scream vintage Larry but for those who watched, did he look healthy?
 
He definitely was not 100%. Didn't finish a few plays around the rim that he usually does and he did look to be very tired running up and down the court. I believe the broadcasters said that Nance told them he was 80%. Just on my eye test I'd say it was a little less than that, maybe more like 70%.
 
When I watched last night he just looked weaker. He's skinnier then he was, he kinda looked a little paler or something too I thought when he was at the line. Looks to get tired easier. I mean all clearly signs of mono. He's a fucking warrior playing through that shit, but we aren't gonna be the same team for a bit. We might not be able to recapture what we had.

I know in the Fresno St. game, there were a few change of possessions when he didn't even make it to the other end of the court.
 
practice shape is in no way game shape, and yes he did look gassed most of that game, he'll be alright, but we truly need him at 100% against Utah State
 
Thanks guys. I feel really bad for Larry. He's a great player a real warrior, a stand up guy... I could go on and on.

I suspected he still isn't full speed and I hope I'm wrong but I'm afraid he won't be again this season.

I hope he's fully healthy come mwc tourney.
 
I feel bad for Nance. He should have gotten DPOY last year even after tearing his ACL it showed that he was deserving of that spot because we couldn't do shit without him. He got snubbed on it really sucked he was buy far the best defensive player in the league.

This year he had POTY all but wrapped up and instead Derek Marks is going to walk away with it because of Mono. Nance has so many accolades he should have and they have just been ripped out of his hands. I feel for him some seriously shitty luck at the wrong time of the year.

Everytime he touched the ball he whined. With or without a foul he was chirping. What a dope. And how the hell did eraser head not get a technical when he got all up in the refs face and was yelling about that foul he collected....

Agree - not sure how he didn't get a T - and he kept going and going.

The one thing that I continually notice about MWC refereeing, they let their emotions dictate how they call things. I see them refereeing based on the score, foul counts, and such, rather than just staying within the game. I also hate how they let certain coaches work them they way they do.

That and the gray headed SOB ref last night was making under the basket calls from half court, when the ref under the basket was letting them play. The missed foul at half (McManamen) was as embarrassing a missed call as I have seen all season.

How the hell do three refs miss 2 guys shoving Mac into their bench. That was unbelievable. That should never happen

I don't think he is 100% yet. He still looked a step slow on some plays to me. I would say he is about 90%.

I am hoping by next week he is 100%. There were a couple of plays I saw where he could have had blocks on defense but he decided not to step over and jump which he normally would. He also was looking a little winded running up the court still.

He did look a lot better than last week though so I would say he is progressing very well and I do expect him to be 100% by next week when we play in the tournament. His jumper was on last night.
 
He looked much closer to 100% last night. I think he will be healthy for our first round game, the question for me would then be how would he potentially handle playing 1 or even 2 more games back to back with no rest in the tournament. If we were to make a run...
 
Larry lives to play BBall he should be fine and getting better all the time, last night was a sight for sore eyes that's for sure!!
 
So if Nance gets to true 100% form, and Adams keeps his pace up, and we get some other solid contributions, how far can this team go?

I think they can beat NM, win 3 in 3 days, then make some noise in the Tourney. How much noise? Probably depends on seeding and draws, but I can see this team getting hot. If they beat NM that is. Wyo playing the way did last night can make the Sweet 16.
 
Beav you missed an awesome one last night!!!! I'm nutz and gonna go to the Pit this weekend, always wanted to why not this might be the year to give it a go...lol
