Call your shot

I'm okay if he leaves, as long as he has to sit out a year. Hold on, I forgot, that's only the players.

Hell, the guys been in North Dakota and Wyoming for the past how many years? Shit, Iowa probably feels like New York City to him. Let him live a little, let his hair down, experience the big city lifestyle...

I'm going to post this here also:

If he (or his agent) talked to Iowa State I hope he can use it as leverage to increase our budget and get a larger salary pool for better assistants.

If Bohl rumor is true, does your opinion of Bohl change?

Me? Nope. Nada. Zilch.
Haters are going to hate regardless. Correct? You didn't like him before, so why would these false rumors change your opinion....or mine....or anyone else's.

Edit: My opinion may or may not change in two years after Bohl has been given a freaking chance.

Gags says he was on the ADs list but didn't interview
And he really cannot control that.

So yeah. Another unsubstantiated rumor about Bohl. What next, that he brings in Nick Saban as DC?

Though I don't think many would oppose that, lol.

Not Saban, but based on the body of work, I do expect announcement of a new DC for next season. (Not that I think he'll make a change - or that burman would get him sufficient money for actual improvement)

I'm not in support of Bohl leading Wyo, but would still love to be proven wrong. And could see it with next season schedule.

But if the ISU interview thing was true I wouldn't have been happy at all.

I still wonder if Bohl was going to interview but ISU got their guy after the 2nd interview and cancelled the rest of the interviews.
If that is the case, then that is the same as him interviewing in my eyes.

If he was looking for an out, then get him out.
If not, then hell might as well let his terrible decisions on the field continue for another year.

I don't think Bohl threw his name out there for ISU while in the middle of recruiting. It looks more like a list was thrown together of possible candidates and ISU's admin would go down the list calling them to gauge interest and then go from there.

And what evidence do you have that I don't like Bohl. I'll await evidence or a foot in your mouth. My guess is you'll just crawl away once you realize you are wrong.

Bohl told holmgren he absolutely did not interview. Let it die

A better question, of course, is: "Did you try to get an interview".

Personally, it doesn't change my view either way, but, for sake of discussion, asking if he "applied" or was willing to interview is probably a more relevant question.

Or ask if he was going to interview until the ISU AD cancelled the rest of the interviews.

No matter what a man has the right to weigh his options.

If any of you were at a job and someone was willing to pay you more money to do the same job you would at least entertain the idea and weigh your options.

Bottom line is he didn't take it and he's still here. Hopefully that is for the better as I can't imagine any program getting traction turning over coaches every few years.

Even in Obama's Merica, this is still a free country, for the most part, and as such Bohl has the right to define and direct his own agenda and his own destiny as he sees fit.

With all that said, however, if he had actually interviewed for the ISU position I would not have taken kindly to that at all, and yes, my opinion of him and his commitment to Wyoming would have been altered.

Go Pokes.
