Calhoun.. now with a dose of insane?

Check this article out.. Calhoun has always struck me as an odd guy, this pretty much seals it.

Yeah...Really strange comparing DC with Jane Fonda criticizing the Air Force. If I was Coach Dave I would be insulted and pissed off.
 
So, he compared DC to freakin' Hanoi Jane Fonda? It's official, I have lost all respect for Calhoun. Especially considering DC has nothing but respect for the men and women in the armed forces, and all DC was doing was saying that Dietz faked an injury. And Calhoun compares that to Hanoi Jane, of all people.

The rest of the stuff was just gibberish mostly, not really saying anything. Unless you read between the lines on his quote.

Dude has been off his rocker for the whole season. You guys should listen to the weekly press conference if you can. He's bat shit crazy!
 
As an officer in the AF, I am ashamed and saddened that Calhoun would play such a dirty "trick" in the game, and then compare another coach to Jane Fonda for calling him out. Yes, as an officer in the military, you have to learn and adjust, but "we will not lie, steal, or cheat, nor tolerate among us anyone who does."

I'm surprised that so many seem to think that because someone is in the military that he's a good guy. Ya have to look at everyone individually. I know good and bad military persons. They have to be able to kill.
When I see Troy Boy in interviews I always think I'm watching the gay channel. :| :|

Troy is not in the military...he just coaches kids who will be. He SHOULD live and breathe by the morals the AF is supposed to be teaching, but apparently....

Probably not going to be a popular post...

We should all be a little smarter to see past all of this rah-rah military bullshit. I get it, they are the military, and they are important to our country and our rights...but give it a fucking rest. Just because an individual is either enrolled, or associated, with the Air Force Academy, doesn't mean they are exempt from being a fuckup. Troy does a great job milking the whole "get behind the military no matter what" thing. If anything, he is degrading the service that some individuals provide for our great country by continually acting in this manner. There is a reason the AFA cadets are referred to as the "Pimple Faced Pukes In Blue" in certain circles.
 
I tried to make any logical conclusions from Calhoun's statement and I can't. I was/am very critical of the way DC handled himself after the AF game, but if the Academeny simply overlooks such bizzarre/ridiculous statements by Calhoun then I don't think that would reflect very favorably. I haven't followed Calhoun too closely, but statements such as these would have to call into question his ability to coach future military leaders.

I don't know why this wouldnt be an accepted post. I agree with a lot of it. All branches of the military CLEARLY have their share of bad apples. Using the respect most give to the military as a means to promote yourself and deflect attention (such as Calhoun may be doing), I would expect is not received too well by military leaders.

However, the majority of military personnel are fine individuals.
