MWC had to give in...to survive...and we all know it. BSU getting back in the fold is a good thing. I wish their fans didn't feel compelled to treat the rest of the conference like idiots...but it could be worse.
Burman lies to us about DC, then lies about this..I don't know who he thinks he's fooling but at least he's consistent.
Here's my new year's wish...Now that Shyatt has made Burman look good, maybe Burman can contemplate another connection to past glory for football (Tiller) someone who believes in Wyoming and wants to be here. Someone who can run the program for the next decade for less than a million a year, and free up big money to hire excellent coordinators that will move on...
Either that or I wish Burman would get on a plane with the Hair and go away...

I heard rumbling that Burman did have contact with Tiller but his demands were too great. Something about wanting a private university airplane on standby at all times to take him to and from laramie at his whims....who knows if its true though...

I am sure getting are ass kick every year by boise state is good thing when you listen to burman! When utah, Byu, and Tcu were in the MWC, we did not belong on the field with them, will be the same thing with boise. I use to be a die hard wyoming fan but do to the very poor AD! that went out the window. I do buy season tickets for football, and mens basketball something, a lot of burman fan club members cant say! any time burman opens his mouth a lie come out! hoping in 2013 he goes away!

Currently everything is geared around tv markets and Wyoming is not in a coveted media market. We NEED teams like Boise to help us get a decent tv contract and to help us succeed by giving us more tv money to work with. Their was no lie about what he said, he understands the business side of this game and from a business perspective Wyoming NEEDS teams like Boise to help keep us relevant.

It's all about winning and that is done by the state & university investing in it's athletic programs to the level that give it a better than average chance of succeeding at a high level. I'm not talking about facilities, because our facilities are good to average (compared to other MWC schools, but average at best compared to the top 6 conferences). Much of our facilities are due to private donations which mandate a matching funding from the state. Boise State University would be nothing but a second rate school without it's football program success of the last several years.

I may be wrong, but I thought Burman came out dead set against granting special concessions before BSU left..

Look, I get it that a lot of people buy into Burman. You go ahead and believe everything he says. Color me a sceptic. He shifts blame and runs after the limelight more than Joe Biden...
I thought he was prideful and unnecessarily harsh when he fired Glenn, I thought DC was a good hire, but didnt like that it was as much about Burman and the process as it was a vision for the program-disturbed at his white lies about his role in the process,
I thought he was exposed as a hypocrite after he rode Schroyer around the state like some trophy-then turned on him,
I really dislike him for never setting out a vision for excellence for UW athletics-he constantly whines and makes excuses why we cant be great again-and NEVER holds himself as the AD accountable for anything
I despised him for refusing to stand up for the state of Wyoming when DC was bitching about what a crappy place it was- instead he handed a disaffected mediocre coach a contract worth 5 years and a million a year when he thought he might like to move to Houston-
So yeah, I was already cynical when he lied to us about he handled DC in Howdy Doody gate-
and while I'm glad BSU saved the MWC by bailing off the sinking ship of the Big East and making us their life preserver...
I can do without Burman sucking their ass
after he acted like a tough guy when the whole thing went to hell in the first place...
