I love the way this team does all of the fundamentals and plays defense. If we keep playing tough defense and we don't turn the ball over and we hit our free throws we will be in most games this year.

so sweet that we are freakin' 8-1!!! We have not only been winning, but freakin' curb stomping teams that we were losing to last year! I can't wait to catch a basketball that I can actually watch. The game vs CU is on Root Sports right?
 
I haven't been excited about Wyo Basketball in a long time but this year I'm just blown away by the turn around this team has done!

I've been impressed with what I've been hearing on the radio, but damn it, I want to be watching these games on TV. They got some MW girls hoops on, but I can't see the cowboys? Weaksauce.

Sounds like great defense.
 
Holy Shit! Martinez was 6 of 10 from 3 land? Dang. Kid can flat out shoot from 3. At least in a Shyatt offense!

It seems like officials are always quick to call fouls on freshmen. Nance's fouls are not all of the bad kind though - they are due to him being very agressive around the ball and his tenacity on defense. He is going to be special.

So glad Shyatt came back...it seems like they are playing with a lot of intensity....I can tell you I was worried when we had a few guys transfer away. In hindsight, I'm glad they are gone- they would not have fit in with this type of a team at all.

I was looking at the Cowboys schedule...we honestly could have only one loss still going into conference play, how legit would that be? Shyatt is proving that defense is what wins games!

Freshmen haven't yet learned the art of grabbing the opponent's balls and getting away with it. Give him time. :whistle:
 
Coach Shyatt has this Wyoming team playing together as a team. He is really bringing the freshmen along well. This Cowboy team has learned how to use the AA to their advantage to win. Now this team needs to learn how to go into a hostile place and win. This is a tougher assignment, but I think our coaches will get this team to that level. This Friday's game @ CU will be a good test and experience for the Pokes. I'm already making plans for the MWC tourney.
 
I wish I had a video of Washington's follow jam. That was a thing of beauty. Something I don't think a cowboy has done since Josh Davis

That was probably the most spectacular play I have seen in a long time - it absolutely stunned me.
