Bracketology

You know it wouldn't be basketball season without a WAY too early look at the Big Dance field. Joe Lunardi's bracketology came out, and he has 4 MWC teams in. SDSU, Boise, New Mexico, and UNLV with the highest seed going to New Mexico at a 5.

And watch UNM screw up in the first round losing to Yale.
lol Probably.

Boise will be better than last year with experience + Nick Duncan.....They'll will compete for the title.
Lobos should be good, but coaching changes are always tricky.
UNLV is still coached by Dave Rice.
I have no idea who plays for SDSU. I heard someone say their best player now is Xaiver Thames. lol
CSU will go backwards....
Don't know what to think about USU. Well-coached team.....but so many ignore their 2012-2013 resume. They were barely above-average in a horrifically bad WAC.

Look at little deeper at USU in 2012-13 though....they lost their best player and leading scorer (Medlin) to an injury about halfway through the year and also lost another starter (Reed) halfway through the year.

Medlin is back and they are a deep experienced team. With UNLV facing an unstable situation, I think USU slides into the Top 4 of the league. They are also playing a very un-Stew like OOC with some legitimate opponents. I think they build up a nice RPI and earn an at-large.

SDSU is loaded with talent, I think O'Brien and Davis are their two best players. They will have to rely on unproven players at times behind those two and Thames, but those unproven players are 4 star recruits that had some experience last year and, in contrast to UNLV, they don't have Heath Schroyer on the coaching staff so expect a cohesive unit. At-large for them as well IMO.

UNM/BSU are the class of the league. Depth, experience, and talent.

CSU is one JJ Avila suspension/issue from sucking hind tit (not much different than us last year, I suppose).

Everyone else, including the Pokes, are hoping the pre-season prognostications underestimate their team.
