Boyzee

Don’t have the horses. Lane domination, and layup contest. Kids are just not in the same space as this Boise team. Seems like Rice’s kid has been in league for 10 years.

We are just flat out a pathetic defensive team. Linder said he could figure that out.

I'm surprised our defense hasn't improved. It was really exposed today. Walters isn't much of post defender and really slow on help. Powell hasn't had much impact, either. I thought he'd be a better shot blocker.

Defense is mostly about effort and want to. You have to want to play defense. You have to fight to play defense. Our effort, and others will no doubt continue to disagree, is lacking. Maybe the loss of our swimmers was as big an issue as Foster indicated in the post game. I can’t be so calloused to think it didn’t have a significant impact. Maybe Boise is as awesome as they say. But the tape don’t lie. We flat stink right now.

Offensive Rebounds:
Boise 16 Wyoming 3

Total Rebounds:
Boise 39 Wyoming 17

This was a home game. I really don’t understand those defending our bad attitude and smartest basketball guy in the room of a coach honestly. Is this the kind of efffort indicative of his motivation skills? I personally and unfortunately believe so. There’s little chance we are much better next year absent something shocking in the portal.

Who on this thread defended the coach? I don't think anybody praised the team's effort, either. Stop it.

I’d say you have defended Linder in the separate thread. Or does only what is posted in this game thread count?

You can scroll down 2 threads or click here if that helps:

Should I interpret this as not defending Linder?

No kidding. Linder didn't forget how to coach. Last year was a disaster and it'll take a few years to recover from that, but the guy still knows how to draw up plays.

Don't get me wrong, we're not where we need to be talent-wise and that's all on Linder. But I'm tired of hearing that he's a crappy coach.

I have mixed emotions. If schools in general would educate students rather than indoctrinate them then I suppose I might have more concern. You could blow up (not literally - figuratively) the whole College and University system, and outside of athletics……..I’m not sure I’d be real bothered.

How is UW indoctrinating students and to what?

You don’t believe college students are capable of forming their own reasoned opinions even if they run across an off their rocker professor?

I'm fighting your attempts to indoctrinate this board into your "fire Linder now" cult.

Haha what? You’re grasping.

I’ve clearly stated that we basically can’t fire Linder for 2 years because of the 2027 contract extension he has. Maybe he will do something so bad we would have a for cause reason but that is doubtful. But I can only shake my head as you apparently defend him and his blame everyone but himself temper tantrum throwing attitude.
