Bowl projections

It’s hard to believe but we are officially bowl eligible and likely to play in a bowl game this season.

Si predicts Arizona bowl against New Mexico State on 12/29

CBS predicts Idaho potato bowl against northern Illinois on 12/22

Espn is predicting either Hawaii bowl against navy on 12/24 or walk ons independence bowl on 12/27 against wake forest

I have to say it’s fun to look at post season options again

Now that the zona bowl us on actual television... that's what I'm pulling for

A road trip over New year's weekend would be a hoot

CBS sports though which is super lame for a bowl game.

For me living in Phoenix, the Arizona Bowl is convenient so I wouldn't mind that.

The Idaho Potato Bowl does nothing to excite me. The New Mexico Bowl we have been to twice recently, so I would prefer not to be there.

It would be great if things really fall our way and we could get to the Las Vegas Bowl. But if that doesn't happen, the Cactus Bowl would be nice if a Big12 or Pac12 didn't have enough teams, again for convenience for me, but also to play a Big12 or Pac 12 team. The Independence Bowl is interesting in that, I didn't think MW had any tie in there even as a replacement team, but playing an ACC team wouldn't be bad if that worked out.

But all-in-all, it is great to be having this discussion with still 3 games remaining in the season. :D

God no! Please no! Anything but that one!
CBS also just put out a list of the top 6 QBs for this year's draft and Josh wasn't mentioned anywhere

For some reason CBS seems to have it out for wyo this year

I'm with all of you. I'm not travelling to Boise in late December. Should be renamed the 'Hot Potato Bowl' because no-one wants it.

That said, Bowls are not determined by standings and the Potato Bowl is pretty far down the list of picking teams. With all of the hype surrounding Josh Allen, I am thinking that we have a good shot at one of the better bowl tie-ins as the executives try to build up hype for the game by featuring the potential #1 overall pick.

Wow! I really question the credibility of that article. Adam Schefter recently said on ESPN radio that he is hearing that Josh is still the top guy because of his physical tools. One thing I have learned, Schefter is basically never wrong.

ESPN loves Bohl and has a borderline creepy obsession with Allen (the ESPN crew calling Wyo games is literally a draft crew following him around). Vegas is still a possibility, but should Wyoming miss the MW title game, I think ESPN might pull some strings and get Wyoming into a bowl game with a P5 school, kinda like it did with Boise in the Cactus Bowl last year. Wyoming vs. Texas anyone?

I do love that we aren’t already being pigeonholed into the least desirable bowls by all parties

All the way in Florida? While better then the Boise Bowl, good luck getting more than a few dozen Poke fans there.

Personally, I'm hoping for the Cactus Bowl against K-State. 1) We get to play a power 5 program, 2) Wyoming fans will travel well to Arizona, 3) I currently live in Manhattan and would love to sport some brown and gold around town in the event we win, and 4) I think it would actually be a pretty decent game.

A bowl in Arizona is really best case scenario for Cowboy fans. Keep winning and see where we fall!

I don't care, I just wish they were all weekend games regardless, time off is hard to comeby this time of year
