Was just watching the local sports here in Green Bay, and they mentioned that Chris Petersen is set to interview for the Badgers head coaching position on Monday with AD Barry Alvarez.

Another coaching vacancy, another terrible Coach Petersen rumor. The Arkansas one was just as bad. I thought it was a done deal on Tuesday? I thought their sources were legit?

BSU fans on the MWC board are dead silent about this. I think they're shi--ing themselves at the thought of an interview...

Actually, there was a post showing a tweet from a guy that talks to Peterson saying he's not even in Wisconsin, let alone Madison.

Why would he be in Madison on Saturday when the alleged interview isn't until Monday?
As I posted, there have been far mote credible sources saying he won't interview at Wisconsin. Only source Wiscy fans have is some often-wrong radio station.

man if he were to leave imagine them leaving for another conference with a new coach, man they wouldn't have any leg to stand on little alone being relevant anywhere

About the only place that could potentially get him (as admitted by BSU fans) is Oregon, but Chip Kelly would need to leave first.

Sure, there's a lot of homerism in the media regarding these things, but I find it hard to believe Petersen wouldn't even talk to Alvarez about this. He'd be a great fit in Madison. As much as Bronco fans want to pretend- BSU and Boise aren't even close to Wisconsin Football and Madison. Frankly, I'd be very surprised if he didn't talk to Alvarez, whether or not it rises to the level of an "interview" or if it remains something less formal.

When Petersen is ready to leave BSU he will be gone. His record is great and he will be able to pick his job when he feels the time is right.

Madison blows! Wisconsin blows! Alvarez blows!

Which nearly happened last year, and has a decent chance of happening this year - its pretty well accepted that Chip wants to go to the NFL at some point. Oregon may elect to promote Helmrich but I could see a scenario where they hire Peterson and keep Helmrich as OC since he has been an assistant at Boise previously in his career and is still relatively young.
