Wonder how fast SDSU will be asking for that official letter to withdraw from the MWC to be torn up once this happens? If they both come back, MWC is easily the 6th best football conference, even after losing TCU, Utah, and BYU over the last couple of seasons. Would also open up a championship game, and I bet Thompson is salivating at the thought of a championship game either in Las Vegas (great for fanbases) or at Invesco Field (bigger stadium) and likely on national TV each late November.

If this happens, they could easily split into a "Mountain" and "West" Division, and stay true to the league name (a la the ACC).

Looks like a classic uneventful Friday CBS article....MWC officials trying to persuade BSU to stay, no shocker there, plus the same conservative quote from last week. Nothing to see here.....BSU/SDSU will make leaps and bounds more money in the Big East....that's the name of the game now unfortunately.

There is no doubt its summer time though.....get ready for news sources everywhere to grab old articles, change a few things, claim to have a "source" and reprint the speculative BS. That article essentially told us nothing. Again. I appreciate McMurphy, he does a solid job, but this shit just gets repetitive after awhile. Get back to me when something actually happens.

Like it or not, he's right. The Big East is far from pretty, but its a much better option than the MWC.

How is Big East football (no more AQ status) and Horizon/Big West/Sun Belt/other random conference Basketball better than MWC for all? At least SDSU has an ok place to put their olympic sports. Without the WAC, Boise is screwed in all sports other than football.
