Boise given permission to make move [Murphy]

To Boise, I say good riddance and I hope that you fall off the face of the earth after the Big Least implodes. When we were in Ohio for the BG game, we went to the Toledo/Boise game and cheered for our conference mates. When we asked if they would reciprocate the next day - they were condescending and nasty. They are hookers. Big Sky, WAC, MWC, Big East - hopping from bed to bed to make a name and a buck. They will always be a trucker/commuter JUCO, even if they have a decent football team. Cheering for Boise was like cheering for BYU - it made me feel dirty.

As for AFA - I hope they stay. Doubt they do, but it would be very "academy-like" to take the high-road and not take the bait of conference realignment.

I read in that Denver Post article posted earlier that AF wants to keep its rivalries with Army and Navy intact. With this MW/Conference USA merger maybe the Hair should offer invites to Army and Navy to join us instead of the dark side. :twisted:

I'm just saying - what if?
 
Boise St. wont go unless there is a western division. So it sounds like Boise St will go as long as AFA, BYU and SDSU go. The other two teams being considered are BYU and SDSU according to an Idaho radio station.

:rofl: That Idaho station is partly right. They are looking at BYU but as for the other school..... :whistle:
 
Hang on to your hats boys. From what I am hearing (which is nothing but rumors at this time), the MWC is getting blown completely apart.
 
This is second hand, but supposedly Kustra said on a Boise radio interview that 2 more teams from the MWC besides AF & BSU were being invited to the big least. I think one of those teams he referred to was a team that was to join the MWC next year.

From the info I've heard....The next two out west to join will be BYU and.......another mountain time zone school and it aint Fort Fart State. :whistle:

Likely to be teams that haven't started play in the MWC. The likely move for Big East is to push for the best teams that are in the middle of moving from the Wac to the MWC get them when there is no penalty.
 
So presumably he is talking about Fresno? Not that big of a deal really. Thats just further watering down the Big East. I really dont think SDSU would go to the Big East especially with the new buy out provisions they have imposed back there. SDSU wants to go to the Big 12 or Pac #? and going to the BE now would pretty much prevent that.

:roll: It won't be Fresno nor SDSU. Too far away even for Boise and AFA. Both would want schools nearer like BYU and another mountain school. :whistle:
 
Maybe if it was the Big 12-2-1+1 or whatever the hell they are now, but the Least? Sorry, Wyokie, I have no interest in that shitstorm. At least the Big 12 will be around for 6 years minimum.

No. I don't think so. If it saves Wyoming athletics, okay. But I would not be happy with a move to a league that can be considered the Titanic hitting the iceberg of college athletics.
