Bohl will not takeover WY until NDSU is out of playoffs

Bohl just said on his coaches show that he will not be coming to Wyoming until the Bison are out of the playoffs. If NDSU makes the title game that means he will not be in Laramie until after Jan 4. Thoughts?

It's a more respectful way to leave his old place, i can tell you if I was a Bison fan and he left in the middle of the playoff run I'd be pissed

I'm sort of glad. Leaving right away would have been a bitch move. I would have understood why, but I like his class. He'll probably rob NDSU's class big time though.

Makes me respect the man more. While it could hurt our Wyoming recruiting this year, it will pay off in the long run. Had he left the team in the middle of the playoffs, every other coach would use that against him in recruiting to show that he "doesn't stand behind their players."

DC didn't even have the courage or thoughtfulness to speak to the team after being fired. We made a big upgrade in quality of person.

Bet Stanard, his recruiting coordinator, will be switching duties even if Bohl won't be.

Dead time is approaching in recruiting anyway. Better be ready to hit the road in january

Yep, with dead time, it makes this a lot easier for him. He could still have some guys in place to recruit without him the next week and a half or so. I have a lot of respect for him that he is staying through the playoffs, those kids deserve it in Fargo.

It is understandable, if we look at it as a long term hire, you are more willing to put up with short term compromises.

I can guarantee you I will be watching all the NDSU games I can in the mean time.

Aren't we in or approaching a dead period here soon? If so, then it doesn't really affect Wyoming to much. He can compile his staff behind the scence and get some guys down in Laramie hitting the recruiting trail when they can.

Actually having him still coach NDSU is free advertisement for Wyoming as it will be talked about. Not to mention we can see what his team looks like style wise better.

Its pretty surreal that Bohl is gone, obviously most of us thought he'd goto a top 25 program. I mean lets face facts, this NDSU team the last 3 years could beat MWC teams handily.

Im confused as to why Wyoming would allow to stay.
