Now that we are fairly sure who the next coach will be let's start to think about a staff. How many hold overs stay from the DC era. I would really like to see Gesser stay on the staff to keep NW ties, plus he is a good coach. Honestly does he bring his whole staff kind of like Glenn did or does he look outside the box? His current OC is a NDSU grad and been there 16 years so I think he will stay. Make Gesser the OC, keep the spread or make a more hybrid Run N' Gun offense. Bob Davie openly admitted that he doesn't want to run the option offense at New Mexico, but didnt have the personnel, so he his playing with what he has.
I would really like to see a former Wyoming guy as a positions coach, but I know that will be stretch seeing how Bouknight is the only one who we would have a shot at.
I would like to hear other people's thoughts.

I counted pretty much just three guys off his NDSU staff that could be options. Gasser is possibility but I think Kaligis is the best option.

I think you will see us move more to a power O in the WCO form.

I think that the biggest problem with Joe Glenn's tenure was that he did not bring his OC with him because that guy stayed in Montana to take over the Griz program.

It will be interesting to see who comes and who stays. I have to admit that I am more excited about this than I thought I would be. If I were NDSU, I would try to keep a coordinator to take over the program.

For us, I think he should run the system that works for him based on the personnel that he has available. That was what I liked about Bowling Green's coach--he changed his system to fit the personnel that he could recruit to the particular school.

I have to feel sorry for the NDSU players who are trying to win a national championship.

Now all we need is to enclose the field like they did up in Fargo.

Honestly I think we could recruit well to his offense (Power O/WCO). It is a different WCO than what Callahan tried to force down Nebraska's throat. Much more similar to Stanford's offense.

It's the other way around for Glenn. The problem is that he brought his OC with him. Wish he would have left him in Missoula. Glenn was actually replaced by Hauck, who was an assistant at Washington at the time.

Can't imagine the cost of doming the war. Remember the Fargo dome only had seating for 19,000. We consider that a bad turnout. As nasty as the weather gets in Laramie I don't see us doming the war

His OC did come with him, it was Billy Cockhill, who was later fired and they brought in the guy from FAMU. Bobby Hauck took over Montana when Joe Glenn left, who was a coach at Washington.
