Bleacher Report predicting 17-0 start for the Pokes

Pretty cool. Probably not likely, but wow would that be insane! I think we lose one game in OOC (which is still amazing consiering where this program was a few short years ago).

Bleacher Report articles are about as referable as message board posts. Still an entertaining read, though.

Come on....... we're 10-0 and you still think we are gonna drop one.

Denver and SMU are not gimmes. I think it is a tall order to go to Dallas and knock off SMU. I'm hoping we will and I think it will be a battle. We will need the team to play just as they did in the 2nd half against Illinois State to get the W.

I was saying not likely to the 17-0 because that would also include wins at Nevada, at Fresno and at home versus Boise and SDSU. The MWC is tough and not a single team can be overlooked.

To think it is more likely to be 17-0 versus dropping one before UNLV is blind homerism. Not to say 17-0 is not possible nor to say that I would not be estatic if we were 17-0 but you need a level of objectivity.

We shall see...

MWC is loaded but Boise is fools gold. Remember Boise started 8-1 last season... Yes they have had 2 good games, 1 against Creighton and 1 against Michigan State. They also had a horrible game at utah. And don't give me that "Utah was pumped up to honor rick majerus" None of those kids @Utah even know that he coached there.
Fresno and Nevada are not that good.

I think we lose @ UNLV but I think we upset SDSU in Laramie, thus making us 17-0
And no I do not think SMU is a gimme, but I think we will win. Same with DU and Santa Barbara, the team we beat by 28 on the road. The same team that some thought we were going to lose to.
For gods sake we are receiving votes and if anyone has played a weaker schedule than us it is SMU and again, no I don't think it is a gimme I think it is going to be a close game but Wyo will and should win. Look at our big signature wins, CU & ISU, in the 2nd half we dominated them.

If Wyoming goes into the SDSU game undefeated, that game will be a sellout. Mark my words.

In fact, if Wyoming can go into that game having only lost the previous game at Fresno State, the game will still be a sellout. It would be the first time since Dembo was here that 2 ranked teams would be playing each other in the Double A. To add to it, unless you have a DirecTV sports package, the game won't be on TV. Plus, it's a Saturday game with a 5:30 tipoff. The perfect storm.

The SDSU game is a great early-conference home game, and it sits at the perfect time. We play a tough-ish home game against Boise, then hit the road against underperforming conference teams with tough home courts. If we play like we have been for the last 3 weeks, we should win every game up until the SDSU game. You have to expect a bad game somewhere in there, but good defense always keeps games close. Defense doesn't get rusty over finals week like offense does.

The first of 2 or 3 sellouts this season in the Double A will be on January 19.
