Beating a dead horse... Get James some damn minutes!

I will trust Shy...but really like the upside with James and Naughton. Yesterday's game feels like Naughton's emergence as the guy down low. It will hopefully motivate him knowing how the staff and his team respond.

I love watching a big man go up forcefully, get raked across the arms and have the strength and focus to finish at the rim.

Those kind of players are rare indeed. His footwork on defense has improved a huge amount since the first of the season. It will be fun to watch him through his career here at UW.

It's asinine that James sits one single minute to Lieberman. Lieberman didn't belong on the court with those athletes yesterday. Lieberman looks ok vs teams with inferior athletes like himself. We stopped getting killed as soon as James got into the game. I also find it hard to believe Marshall isn't as good as Lieberman and Washington.

I like him on the offensive side of things, definitely.

Defensively, he is a liability at this point in his career. That will change, and we need to let it IMO.

Landerpoke, i was just trying to disagree with you but it came out kind of harsh I guess. I actually said some similar things that you said about james during the game. Justin James reminds me so much of Marcus bailey with that mid range pull up jumper!

I do think Shyatt has earned some respect when it comes to developing players and distribution of minutes. I actually think most members of this team have gotten better every game this year. Herndon has struggled lately though.The players seem to like the competition for min because they all are busting their butt right now every game.

I agree. I don't think he should see less than 25 minutes.

The call in show said he missed some defensive assignments that really agitated Shyatt

Knowing what we know about Coach Shyatt and his priorities and perspective on how to win games, this looks like a complete explanation to me.
