Back from my knee surgery and...

The nurse I had actually went to school with Mitch Unrein in High School and Junior High. And apparently back then, he was a little guy. He didn't get to be a big guy until he went to UW.


Kind of a neat thing to learn while recovering form surgery.

Mitch's godfather is a friend and neighbor of my parents. Great guy. Every time I see him he updates me on what Mitch is up to and we talk some Cowboys football :thumb:

Wasn't an injury (this time anyway), it was because my kneecap was really loose and it was not sitting where it was supposed to be. So, now I have a screw in it and get to be in bed for the next couple of weeks. And thanks for the well wishes! Much appreciated. :thumb:

And I've already had 3 surgeries on my other knee, as I am Knee Surgery Man! 5 total knee surgeries from the 11th grade all the way to now! Fear my power of getting knee surgeries!

I know Muay Thai as well, and have broken bricks and wooden boards with my fists (if you've ever been to Freedom has a Birthday like 3 years ago on back, you'd see a martial arts group do that, I was one of them). :twisted:

I've got you beat handily - nine surgeries also dating back to 11th grade. I look like a shark attack victim. Badge of honor, I say! Few better feelings than returning to a normal activity level after a major knee surgery. Rehab hard, come back stronger! Best of luck to you.

Oh, I know the drill pretty well by now. :lol: 22 years old and 5 knee surgeries, and only 2 were due to injuries. I blame BYU.

I'm pretty well done with running. Screws in both legs now, and put too much weight or stress on them, and the screws hurt. Will probably do more bicycle riding once spring comes, but overall, running seems to be out of the question.
