Wyo had 5082 show up for the season opener. CSU had 4262.
820 more for Wyo than the Sheep.
Utah State had 9935. They have to be stoked about the MWC.
UNLV had 13,148.
SDSU had 12,414.
Boise had 5662.

Attendance rankings for MWC teams is:
1-UNLV
2-SDSU
3-USU
4-Boise
5-Wyo
6-CSU

I expect those top 3 to stay the same, I expect us to pass Boise as the season goes on, and I expect CSU to maybe hit 6 thousand like 2 times all season
 
USU had a good 'name' coming in with USC. That helped to have a good crowd.
The spectrum holds 10,270 so we were 97% capacity.
You are accurate in that people are excited for a MW schedule. Hopefully the fickle fans don't leave after some losses that are bound to happen with a tougher schedule now.

I spent a lot of time as a kid going to usu football and especially usu basketball games and the spectrum is the most rowdy college hoops venue I've ever been to. Maybe some of the fickle fans will stop coming after some losses, but they will come running back after the aggies knock off some Top 25 teams in the Spectrum
 
Yeah, the Spectrum is an awesome place. If you guys have never gone, you better go.

I watched a USU/Boise game a couple years ago. Before the game, a Boise fan was sitting amongst a ton of Aggie fans. Not a few fans, but the entire half of the gym turned and pointed at him in silence. He laughed at first but they kept pointing and staring. No trash talk, pure silence. 5 minutes past (felt like an eternity) and they were still pointing. Finally someone threw him a USU t-shirt. Realizing this wasn't going to stop anytime soon, he put on the USU shirt over his Boise sweatshirt. Crowd went berserk.
