Assuming we win out. What are the odds Laramie hosts the mwc championship in Laramie?

Who gets to host the game will be determined by which divisional winner is ranked the highest in the College Football Playoff poll after the end of the regular season. If no MW team is ranked in that poll, then it comes down to four different computer-generated polls monitored by the MW office.

San Diego State clinched the spot from the West Division last week. UW, Boise State and New Mexico have the best chances of winning the Mountain Division. UW is 5-0 and in first place. Boise State and New Mexico are both 4-1.

Burman said if UW hosts the game, current season-ticket holders will have a small window to secure their seats. After that, all seats will be up for sale to the general public.

The championship game will be at the highest ranked school, according to the MWC rules.

Here's a link to the rules: https://mwc-platform-secure.silverchalice.co/v3/files/562ff976e4b0f4a4ce53c3b1

So it ain't necessarily so that the game will be in Laramie should the Pokes win out.

If we win out, including beating SDSU, that probably will jump us ahead of them.

That's a logical assumption, but the Pokes beat Boise and the Broncos are still rated higher than the Pokes as are the Aztecs, so I'm not so confident. I'm getting mentally prepared to go to San Diego.

Well, BSU was ranked considerably higher than we were. The difference between us and SDSU though, is in the single digits.

Losing a game on the road isn't going to be "punished" quite as much as losing at home is, either. If SDSU loses to us in Laramie in OT, it's totally possible we won't jump them.

We have to win the games on the schedule - whether they are home or away - and take care of what we can control.

Yep, I'm not disagreeing with that at all. just saying it's possible for us to win today and next Saturday, and still not jump San Diego in the rankings.

That said, for now I hope the team is 100% focused on what happens today. We're not good enough to take it easy on anybody.
