Are we dropping down to Div 1-AA?

Who ever operates our scoreboard must be drunk! I'm not even sure those were college teams that were flashing across. High school maybe? They would announce a few scores over the PA but what is so hard about having them on the scoreboard? I'm just about fed up. And I thought going to Vanderbilt games were hard. :x

Those are FCS scores! Remember North Dakota State? We like them right?

Wyoming would be a natural fit for FCS, and could compete favorably there with as many as 50% Wyoming kids on their squad.

Buy why would folks drive across the state to see their home town boys play in FCS, when they can stay home and watch Miami and Florida State play on the TV?

Whatta mean? :?
Well of course now that I have left Nashville they start playing well and are even in the top 25 now! But growing up as a kid going to games were just painful. Vandy found more ways to lose than any other team I've ever watched. What made it so heartbreaking is that they always played close and then would lose by just a few points...

At lease with Wyoming we know it's pretty much over before the end of the game :D

That scoreboard setup with the out-of-town scores is an absolute bush league operation. Hell, they even had Canadian Football League games on there at one point!!! And most of the college scores were from Division 2 and 3 schools back east. Why in hell would we care about the score in the much-ballyhooed matchup between California University of Pennsylvania of New Hampshire of Ontario of Rochester and the Northeast Massachusetts Institute of Express Mail Delivery and Floral Design?

Here we go again...Everytime we start losing someone brings up the DAMNED FCS (D1-AA) arguement. Even if its only tongue in cheek, it is the dumbest idea I have ever heard. First off all, most of our good atheletes would leave, our available scholarships get reduced, CJC and alumni donations would drop, state funding would be reduced, and there is no guarantee we would even be a top tier FCS school.

I am as FUCKING pissed about the way we played today and so far this season as anyone, but I can see zero upside to even talking about going to 1AA. I would rather go winless at the D1 level than puss out and drop to a lower level. I am not trying to knock 1AA ball, I think their are some great teams and it definitely fills a need and gives good athletes that might not be quiet as big or fast a chance to keep playing ball. However that doesn't mean that we should ever want to be a 1AA school.

It's been proven we can win at the D1 level. There should be no argument and I don't see us ever dropping down.
