Anyone know the Wrestling annual budget?

Wrestling is the 2rd most profitable sport (in terms of dollars in vs. dollars out) at Wyoming behind Basketball.

And it will still be an olympic sport in 2020. What this means is that Baseball/Softball has no chance now as an olympic sport in 2020.

A stupid thing to do, if you ask me. Especially in favor of "wakeboarding." Wrestling is one of the oldest events, and even goes back to the original Olympics done by the ancient Greeks.

Wrestling is the national sport of numerous eastern european countries, no way do they not fight back. Wrestling is also one of the fastest growing sports in the US at the youth level.

Want to know a dying sport? Boxing.

WTF IOC? With the emergence of MMA, wrestling is as popular as ever. Wakeboarding? I'm guessing someone of the committee is a fan of wakeboarding. Stupid.

BTW, in case you missed it the Olympics did not cut your favorite (rhythmic gymnastics).

Thank sweet baby Jesus for that! Who doesn't love Rhythmic Gymnastics...honestly...WHO!?!?

Percentage wise, you are probably right. It went from 132 dudes and 3 chicks, to 138 dudes, and 5 chicks. A 6-7% growth rate.

I kid.

Back on topic though. Society is to blame for this one. Its those older coaches that are getting to "close" to the younger participants "junk".

I kid again.

;)
