I used to have them Section F, at the 35 yd. line, 5 rows up...had them 2007-2019; loved the area and the crowd in the section. Even had Mack Brown get me (and my little brown bottle of fun) kicked out of a football game for chanting. Looks like my seats would have gone up exponentially, so glad that didn't happen. Why do you ask? Are the new seats worse?Would love to get your thoughts on your seats, etc. I will certainly share my opinion, which will come across as just bitching to bitch, but I am not a happy fan.
I was in E row 20 last season. By the time they got to my priority status number there were approximately zero decent seats left to choose from that didn't require a $1000/ticket "donation". I moved up to FF. Perfectly fine seats that I don't feel like I'm getting raked over the coals to sit in.Would love to get your thoughts on your seats, etc. I will certainly share my opinion, which will come across as just bitching to bitch, but I am not a happy fan.
The gentrification of the War is complete. Well done. We have effectively taken venues that were once filled with blue collar, "slightly" inebriated, yelling-til-they-were-hoarse fans and replaced them with wealthy, cushion sitters. The riff raff is now in the rafters watching mediocre to lackluster teams false start, sputter, and dance with a guy instead of knocking his block off. Mitch Donahue and Conrad Dobler be damned. Just like the AA. Soon, the only fitting sponsor for WY sporting venues and events will be nursing homes and funeral parlors. I know we need money, but the current state of our venues is so far from what it was when I was a kid (I know, nostalgia don't pay bills). No Knothole. Sell outs at 25,000 people. Losing to Big Sky teams. No grass. Little excitement. Pinky-lifters in every section that look down their nose at you if you cheer. No fun.I was in E row 20 last season. During the Oregon game, there were a few folks who showed up out of no where in front of us. They were dressed in Stetson hats and fur, and it was their first Wyoming game ever. Didn't know when to cheer, complained about the wine choices at the IPF, and had really no clue what was going on. We chatted them up, they said they were from Jackson. The rowdy group from Evanston behind got into them so hard, they left at half. Those are the folks these are built for. I asked the group we used to sit with, they are all in the rafters now too. We could really get down and make some damn noise in those seats...too bad.The gentrification of the War is complete. Well done. But hey, at least the fattest of cats are happy.
They even put the W-Y-O chant in the new football game, after the first quarter. Too bad those guys get it and the school doesn't.Gameday atmosphere is still TRASH.
So many ads, and so much listening to music when the band should be playing. Let the band play!
And yea, let’s do the W-Y-O cheer. Not pregame!!! In the first or second quarter.
One side of the stadium chants … fairly slowly… W then Y then O, then the other side of the stadium does the same thing. It’s not hard to execute and it’s super cool. Big signs are needed of the letters “W” “Y” and “O”.
Burman, are you listening????

You would think that whomever is leading the athletic department, would remember the AA debacle, and not let it happen a second time. Nope. Time to open your eyes UW leadership (talking to you Prez & BOT).Pair a crappy product with a terribly timed forced reseating and you will see huge declines in attendance and CJC giving. Wyoming flubs every damned time.
Every player gets 4 tickets to every game (home and away) to give out to whomever they choose.I have gotten to know quite a few athletes and family members of athletes over years. It puzzles me why the athletic department does not try to make sure that when mom and pop travel to Laramie to watch their son or daughter play , they are not given special consideration on seating etc.
I mean both better seats and some additional considerations like a pre or post game meal . It would be nice to have them stand and be recognized as part of the pregame if nothing elseEvery player gets 4 tickets to every game (home and away) to give out to whomever they choose.
Unless you mean more than just tickets.
They can’t provide transportation and meals to an athlete’s family. It violates (silly) NCAA rules.I mean both better seats and some additional considerations like a pre or post game meal . It would be nice to have them stand and be recognized as part of the pregame if nothing else
