Took a peek at Flight aware and found this...

The plane registered to the Trustess of UW flew to Hoston (by way of Stillwater, OK) yesterday. The plane stayed overnight and is now on its way back to Laramie (by way of Amarillo, TX).

Could this be part of a search/interview for a new President or Head Coach? Any coordinators at Houston, Rice, or nearby Texas A&M that might be a quality candidate?

All hail our new HC Kevin Sumlin!

Dick Bumpas is in Dallas about 3 hours away? Maybe possible?

How about June Jones also in Dallas / Fort Worth?

Keep in mind that the University is seeking a new President as well.

Hence why my original post says "Could this be part of a search/interview for a new President or Head Coach"

Always a possibility, but I would think they would just fly to Dallas if either were the case.

Gary Kubiak?

I thought that myself earlier and laughed, but your comment got me thinking about the Texans staff. Houston's OC is Rick Dennison. He has ties to the area as he played at CSU and coached the Broncos from 1995-2009.

:D Most likely not for Kubiak.
I will say that when I first heard the news of DC, my first thought was Kubiak for a "splash" hire. I think his NFL HC days are done, and I'm not sure he would even make an OC at this point (in the NFL). Big name college programs won't take the chance, I don't think, but he might be willing to try a college job.

He has at least lived in the area, had a son that played at CSU, and will be looking for a job. Again, very very unlikely, but it would be an interesting twist.

Good point on Dennison, though. We need better recruiting. We don't have many of the things that recruits look for (metro, big name, etc.), but if we had a coach that they though could help get them to the NFL combined with a current roster with many openings, it might help our cause.
