Another commit per Holmgren

Bohls first two recruiting classes had 2 LB and they converted one to TE. Now they're getting a bunch. Seems like a huge oversight

Looks like another solid get. Currently second in tackles for Colorado 4A.

If the recruits don't think Wyoming is a dumpster fire because of it's 0-4 start, why do we?

Hopefully a diamond in the rough because I see no stars. Anyway, welcome to the Cowboys! I watched his tape and he looks impressive - the kid obviously knows how to tackle.

I honestly think we'll be pretty good in a few years. I was hoping to be more competitive now, however

If I am critical of anything this early in Bohl's tenure, it would be because of this. I'm not sure who we lost to attrition besides the only LB in Bohl's first class. We've lost a couple LB's to injury. And, I think we offered a JC guy or two last year, but either it was too hard to get them into UW, or they didn't accept the scholarship.

Right now we have a nice 235 LB who is redshirting, have 4 committed to date, but still need to develop depth. The new commits wont' be ready to contribute right away. Even if Bohl went after a bunch of linebackers, at the very most they would be true sophomores. Again, Bohl was greeted with an empty cupboard and is forced to build up. Otherwise, don't you think the previous staff would have had more than one or two linebackers on the roster who weren't about ready to graduate?

We are a dumpster fire, that's why. If Bohl is able to establish a relationship with recruits regardless of said dumpster fire, that's great.

Malcolm Muhammed is the only one I can think of that left. Who else did we lose to injury/attrition?

Dumpster fire may be too strong of word at this point, because I think everyone is willing to give Bohl a fair chance. But going potentially 0-12 is raising or will raise some serious flags.

Bohl's first linebacker recruit. The cupboard was bare when only Muhammad was on the roster aside from the seniors we lost to graduation.

Jeff Lark was another LB on the roster. Barely played, was a bad apple. Kicked off the team or asked to leave.

I looked it up. Alex Bush and Jeff lark both left. Between those guys and Kongbo we got shafted pretty hard.

Agree about Kongbo....but meh about Jeff Lark. Not a fan.

I was screaming for at least one jc lb this last offseason.

Basically, next year won't be great at LB either .

We need a playmaker that can shoot the gap and make some damn plays in the running game

I don't see how it will get much better unless we get Wacha and neozchoea some steroids.

If we have 60 some freshmen on roster and I thought somewhere around 20-25 scholarship, is that correct?

Is the plan to play about half now and redshirt about half? Thus, we shoot for somewhere around 20 recruits per class from here on out?

I haven't sat down and worked through the numbers. I'm trying to figure out if Bohl is setting up even numbers of recruits every year or if we are going to continue to have 1 really big class every 4 years.

Imagine if we had Vega, Bush, Kongbo, and Jackson right now on defense. I think we'd be in a much better position. I know it isn't Bohl's fault those guys left, but he has to bare some responsibility for his guys and his staff's guys not panning out. Another question on defense... does Dalton ever play? and is he any good?
