Anyone have any information on if Wingard is hurt? He really seems to have regressed these past few games.

In our wins he was exceptional in our losses he has been forgettable. I do not know what it is but he was completely lost against UNLV and New Mexico our two most disgraceful losses.

He still lead the team in tackles on Saturday that included 7 solo tackles and 2 for losses. But it seemed they got past our front so quickly that our D backs were out numbered. Against SDS he had a pretty decent game. I think we are expecting more from him, which is fine as he usually delivers. We will need his A game this week.

I just rewatched the game. If you watch you will notice that he makes a B-Line for his assignment, regardless of who has the ball. So while it appears he is making a wrong read, it's clear to me he is doing what he was coached to do. I agree he hasn't looked good, but upon further review it's the coaching that makes him look bad...there's no doubt in my mind. The scheme has made him look bad; that's on Stanard.

Man. Maybe after three series of missed assignments maybe Stanard would go to more of a read and react scheme? holy crap. How can he not make adjustments?
