Andrew Wingard: MWC Defensive Player of the Week

A little disappointed we didn't get special teams player of the week. The winner averaged a yard more per punt, but what does that matter when Wood's average was limited by the endzone?! How often do you see two punts in a game inside the 1?


Edit: maybe they looked at the ESPN boxscore, because that one doesn't show that any were inside the 20. Weren't 3 of Wood's punts inside the 10? http://www.espn.com/college-football/boxscore?gameId=400869208

I wish there was a highlight of that play. It was awesome!! The CSU RB got stopped cold, and Wingard walked away like it was nothing.

Found one angle of the clothesline play. Unfortunately, it's from CSU - - kinda funny that CSU's "highlight" reel is only 67 seconds and most of that is the stands, coach and cheerleaders....

Interesting choice, although it is great...#57 should have been the "pick". LOL!

And I am thinking it should have been a Cowboy sweep...

Wood's as MWC ST POW for 2 downed punts at the 1 - spectacular, and a game changer.
Hill as MWC O POW for setting the career mark for rushing yards (in roughly 2 seasons BTW).
 
I love our highlight reals from games. Always around 7 minute mark and it shows scoring plays on both sides and the video is always well made... That CSU highlight looked like an amateur did it.
 
Speaking of amateur.. CSU's radio production is exactly that. Had their post game on in the car after the game. The main play by play guy is horrendous. Sounds like a twelve year old. Dave and Kevin are vastly superior.

You would think they would do better, since the have all that Big 12 money now.

CSU fans turning into BYU fans (without the benefit of religious belief or any appreciable competitive success) is one of my least favorite aspects of he current state of college football where facilities, budgets, and TV revenue are more important than winning.
 
I love having bad ass long hairs on Wyoming teams. Reminds me of myself when I was young back in ole Wyo. This kid is a player for real. Isn't he Greenie too? That Greenie pipeline has been HUGE for us destroying the Greenies with!
