The world of college football is actually starting to wear me down a bit. Don't get me wrong, I love the Pokes, and I enjoy our conference (moreso when the 'Tards & Whiners were in it), but this is getting to the point that I am becoming apatheic.

Maybe that is the goal of the "Haves"...to wear down all of us "Have Nots" so we toss our hands up and stop caring. Free agency has killed the GD game. Lost are the days of rivalries, school pride, tradition, and most importantly playing for the love of the game. For most.

I have to agree McPeachy. I feel that college football is being destroyed. As much as I love the game and traditions and the entire atmosphere of college football, i honestly can see a time in the not too distant future when I will simply no longer care.

McPeachy, its hard to argue with that. I haven't watched a superbowl in years and quit following the NFL a decade ago because I found it too greedy and fake.

College ball on the other hand didn't suffer from much of these things and had a soul. Every day its looking less and less likely that rivalries are going to be prioritised over money. Every day I care a bit less.

At the end of the day, I still don't understand where this money tree came from. In the course of just a few years, the TV networks now have the ability to pay 10-20 times the amount they were? Either the networks were getting extremely rich before hand, and now the schools will be, or there may be a big bubble forming. It is possible this could get very messy.

Oh well, who cares, hopefully we don't have to watch the MWC get shredded by the bigger conferences regularly.
