And I thought UW hit rock bottom with Koenning

CDC has been to two bowls games.

Koenning struggled to win two games every season he was at UW.

No comparison. This situation sucks, but Wyo has been worse than this before.

How many DI AA games did vic lose. FCS cowboys

In 1978, the NCAA split Division I football into two levels. The I-A level, which is now known as the FBS, and the I-AA level which is now known as the FCS.

All of the records below go back to that split in 1978. The only games counted were the ones where a then FBS school played a then FCS school.

It is a bad loss. However, don't compare DC to vic. Vic won 5 games in 3 years. DC has 18 wins and 3 straight over csewe.

I know it's nice to occasionally play the big boys. But a game like Texas is tough physical game. I wonder if we were fully recovered from that game for Toledo. Then we lose Smith - the one guy we can't lose. The spread offense is great when you have a dual threat guy like Smith. It's worthless when you have a guy who really isn't a threat running or throwing.

Every year, our recruiting class is rated down as one of the worst in D-1. That's where the games are won and lost. The schemes are fine. The players have to make plays. Gene Chisik wins a national championship with Cam Newton. Last year, they lost 5 games and started this year 0-2. Is Chisik suddenly a bad coach?

I'm not saying coaching isn't important. But we are losing the recruiting battle. So I'm not really surprised.
The results will get better when we start recruiting 3 star guys instead of 2 star guys.

How about spelling his name right, Vic Koenning, you should make a note of it.

AMAZING you're the first person to see that. I kinda thought I misspelled his name. I was wondering how long it'll take before someone bitches at me about it.

Coaches job to have a backup in place! I still believe in DC although less now than prior to the season. He didn't like what he saw with Marty as the D Coordinator and made a change so I believe if this crap continues with Tormey his ass will be on the street too!

I do however think that it is not just a coaching thing but some of it can be blamed on injuries but mostly recruiting on defense.
