I like to title this Wyoming safety revenge on Utah Quarterback NFL style!

I believe Alex Smith got a bloody nose out of that too. Payback for the onside kick while up by 50. Oh yea, that was Wendling.

Yes sir that is why I posted it lol.

I knew you guys knew that - I just put that in there for those that didn't.

Honestly!!!!! I was thinking about posting this last night!!!! There had to be so many wyonation fans wanting to post it! But then again, I didn't, you did! Kudos!

Wendling was probably just thinking at first "make the stop" then all of a sudden "this guy embarresed MY SCHOOL and MY STATE! ENJOY YOUR BLOODY NOSE BITCH"

A little fyi, 1. Smith didn't call for the on side kick, Whittingham did
2. Smith wasn't even on the roster back in 2007
I didn't see the game, did John get flagged for a forearm to the head of a defenseless player?

Kind of weird that most on this thread seem to be celebrating a chicken shit cheap shot from one of our own, but can't seem to comprehend how heads aren't rolling for a similar chicken shit cheap shot on Brett vs. toledo.

I am not calling out the OP (or any one person for that matter). However, in my opinion, this kind of stuff shouldn't be happening for the good of the game. I have two young boys myself and every time I see this kind of hit, I get closer and closer to not letting them play the game when they get old enough.

I would imagine John would like to take this back if he could.

Similar? seriously a horse collar running full speed vs a sliding half speed hit. I highly doubt that he intentionally hit him with his forearm. Fact of the matter is I thought it was funny being 2 previous MWC players and more so Utah vs Wyoming.

This hit was nothing compared to a horse collar, Wendling could have done some real damage on this if he wanted I believe he is trying to avoid him if he wanted to hit him he wouldn't have gone over the top of him.

You are confusing the different tackle types. On top of that when a QB is running full speed and you have already started to commit to the tackle and then they slide you can't take back what you have already started doing. This wasn't a vicious hit he got a bloody nose and finished the game not a concussion and carted off in an ambulance.

One player is getting pulled back the other is laying back himself - both have an opposing player bringing a forearm to their chin at full speed. Wendling has his head down and is lowering himself quickly. I get the original point you were trying to make, but this is still a bullshit hit. Glad he only got a bloody nose, but it could've just as easily been a concussion. Just stating my perspective.

That definitely wasn't pretty by Wendling, who had an overall decent game, apart from the blown coverage on one of the TDs... then again, that was more the corner's fault than Wendling's.

Yes it could have been had he laid into him and not slid over top him. The plays are 100% different nothing is close to common between the two I'm not going to argue about it you are just trying to draw some conclusion that isn't there.

No one was hurt and if Smith was carted off in an ambulance this thread wouldn't exist.
