This is great for WYO... Time to move up the chain. The Lobos were very average and beatable before his arrival in ABQ.

Wow, NM has had a bad week or so.
Losing to Harvard, Alford bails out and goes to UCLA, and even worse, since they did it before April 1st, the new extension doesn't kick in yet, and the buyout was supposed to be 1 million dollars, but now it is only 150K.
Bryce Alford is not gonna play for them.
Snell is going to the NBA.
Williams, and Kirk might bail out of the program too.

Williams and Kirk aren't going anywhere. Kirk is a NM native that has already used a RS year, so it's not like he is going to transfer anywhere.

Iowa fans are not being very honest in their assessments. Who would you rather be over the last 6 years? UNM or Iowa. UNM under Alford has been to the NCAA 3 times, the NIT 3 times, with 4 conference titles and a NCAA tourney win.


Iowa has made the postseason only twice during that time frame, both times in the NIT. They also have 4 losing seasons and a 18-17 season. Only one 20 win season during that time frame. During Alford's tenure they had 7 straight winning seasons, 3 NCAA tourney appearances, 3 NIT appearances, and a NCAA tourney win.

Of course, Alford's results at Iowa and UNM would be flatly unacceptable at UCLA, so I can understand some UCLA fans being critical of the hire.

Yeah, I just saw that. Didn't realize it since he is only a RS So. Very impressive academically.

MWC is good and all, but not all that great we all found out.

I think NM will hire Craig Neal to keep all their players, recruits, and fans happy. They are a power,
No reason to start from scratch.
