Because beating a nobody FCS team is a bigger deal than taking care of the 4-5th ranked FCS team. Both teams played FCS, Wyoming had the tougher opponent, and it showed.
 
And the worst team in Air Force history is one year older. I don't see why we can't take care of them

As for the Wyoming game, there isn't anything about the Wyoming team that is impressive. The only real variable is that they have a brand new head coach. They could present air force with a team that we aren't use to seeing. However; based on their performance against an FCS team, that they are 14-0 against; and a team that hasn't beaten an FBS team in 10 years; I don't see anything about Wyoming that concern us. This is air force's game TO LOSE. Just like most of the games this year.

So bottom line is last week we both played FCS teams and 'indeed' yours was the tougher, but you also only won 17-12 with 5 sacks on your QB. I believe you can 'pound all the sand' you want but the matchup this year should be another close one and, if you blink, AF may well win.

ps...I am happy you got a new coach who seems to be nothing but class as well as extremely competent while DC was nothing but an a$$.

Uh, we're not the ones "pounding sand". We're also not beating our chests after beating up a bad FCS team and thinking it will translate to a win over a FBS team. Remember how that worked out last year?
 
Dave Christensen's rant what's the best thing to happen to Wyoming football. You better hope the same for you. Troy is running that program into the dirt
 
I don't see what Air Force is so excited about. What makes them think, "they should handle us"? Last years team was destroyed by a bad Wyoming squad. If anything, Wyoming is the team that should handle them and Air Force is the team with something to prove to Wyoming

How does that "rational" change anything? They are still dirting Wyoming, which is fine in a rivalry game...but don't suggest that his "rational" changes the basic premise of the initial post. He is punking our team and players and I hope he gets to eat every word of his post with a heaping helping of crow.

As for coaches, I am glad we have Bohl too, but AFA is still coached by a crapweasel with little to no class...even less than Christensen. A uniform does not equate to sainthood...and Howdy Doody is living proof.
 
If you talk to Wyoming season ticket holders near the visiting team section, an awful lot of them think AFA fans are the rudest of any visiting team fan base. I'm not making that up. There are a lot of rude AFA fans that come to Laramie.

The guys that posted that garbage on a message board are obviously message board all-stars, but they still show how a lot of AFA feels about Wyoming, even after we blew them out in Colorado Springs with a 5-7 football team.

It's why this game is third in importance for both teams. For Wyoming, it's CSU, BYU, and AFA that we want to beat. For AFA it's Army, Navy, and Wyoming. Their isn't as noticable rivalry between CSU and AFA.

It should be a great game. I have a feeling a couple of AFA posters are going to be surprised by the strength of our run game and the strength of our front seven.

Lol...AFA barely beats Wyo without their starting QB, then the following season gets absolutely destroyed by Wyo, and now all of a sudden, this is AFA's game to lose? Ha!
Did someone remind them they went like 2-10 last season?
Did someone remind them this game is in Wyo?

I didn't think other teams had fans as delusional as me!
