Boggles my mind and I'm not sure I'll ever understand it. I fully get the "not playing guys who don't understand defense" thing on a team that has high expectations and a small margin for error like last year, but this year?
You also have to look at lineups. We may not understand it, but it's obvious Shyatt sees Adams as a SG and not a PG. That means he needs to play next to a PG. People have questioned why Lieberman and Washington play but Marshall doesn't, it's because they are PGs and he isn't. Bentz played backup minutes last year because he was the PG Shyatt and the coaches trusted behind Grabau.
I was waiting for monkeyboy to come in and defend shit he has no clue about. In modern basketball there really aren't defined PG, SG, SF, PF, C designations that you're talking about. Adams brings the ball up 90% of the time when he is in and is the one who initiates the offense, even when Lieberman and or Washington are in the game, by old school definition that would be a PG, but PG/SG designation has nothing to do with what we are talking about.
