ACS to Vanderbilt?

LOL, if you look further down the page, he 's talking about a new car he just got,so maybe he is headed to sec country. Is Vandy like the rest of the sec?

Vandy is like the New Mexico of the SEC. He's going to get destroyed down there!

I think he is just being a douche, stirring the pot so to speak, and showing support for Vandy baseball (whom made it to the college world series final 8). Maybe there is a connection there. Oh, and out of state tuition to attend school in Nashville, is just a wee bit steeper than his last "rumored" destination (CU).

Why couldnt ACS scoop a scholly? they might have one avaiable? He wouldnt just go down to Vandy to watch some baseball

Academic standards are pretty high at Vandy. I'm not sure what his grades were while here at UW but being from Nashville I know Vandy rarely makes exceptions for athletes when it comes to grades. That's the biggest reason why they cannot compete in the SEC.

Vandy and the SEC help each other out. They make loads of $ just being in the conference and Vandy keeps the graduation rate and GPA rates high.

I know a kid that was offered a full ride to Vanderbilt who got 1,000 on his SAT. He may have been hardship and almost for sure would have started out on academic probation, but if they think you can play, they'll do their best to set you up. Maybe even throw in a few cars and tatoos...

Vandy's base tuition is over $40,000. If people are actually paying that I don't think they'd need the SEC football money!

since when does anybody determine how much money they try and get based on "need"

ACS is a two time academic all conference player, i think he will be okay.

Grade wise he is solid, from what I understand, I agree.

And skill wise, I think he fits into Vandy somewhat...they are the (Baylor, Iowa State, Etal, of the SEC).

I just don't see Mama's boy heading an additional 2000 miles from home to play football. Then again, maybe it isn't about football for him anymore.

Gagliardi says ACS to Vandy is not a done deal: http://wyomingcowboysblog.com/2011/06/15/carta-samuels-still-undecided-on-next-school/
