Aaron Young's High School Film

I found Young's high school film. Geez, if the O-line can just keep him upright, he could get Wyo receivers some good highlights of their own! He may not be the best athlete in the world but he can sure throw the sh@# out of the ball!

I've heard that the junior year of high school is the most important year to be noticed as a recruit, and since he didn't play his junior year, maybe that accounts for the lack of interest. Not so much interest but just spots already filled in the spring after a player's junior year.

Maybe someone has some insight on the time frame for recruiting QB's. I heard Bohl mention the cycle actually starting a year earlier with prospects.

Young, you don't have to talk yourself up on here. Do it on the field.

If you're not Young, you must be a relative or a very close friend of his.

That's pretty ludicrous to think it's the kid himself. I happen to think it's a good story worth talking about. Why is that a problem for you?

IMO his size and the way our O will change with Bohl he won't be breaking yardage records but if he can play at this level and we have a solid O line he could turn out to be pretty damn special.

The film wasn't hard to find. It's not like you have be member of the family to get it. It's just on Young's hudl which is an easy Google search. Obviously, his "chip on the shoulder" isn't just blowin' smoke, he has skills to back it up. He seems like a very determined young man, and I hope it works out for him.

Remains to be seen. It will be fun to follow all these kids, who it seems a lot of borderline kids with something to prove. Get these guys some great instruction, with that determination, and this season could surprise us all.

Whether we have solid pass pro from the O-line and if Young will turn out to be "pretty damn special."

Most def. im not trying to be bias just cause we're related, he needs to bulk and do it badly, improve his athleticism, but throwing ability is there no question, and he has something i think you cant teach and thats the mind game, you can study and understand, but on the field he see's it faster, reads it faster, just different level then most, he'll get stumped. not perfect but he has the potential to be a better than most on the field at QB. hopefully he's chip is bigger than Nicks, Austins, Tommy, Tj and Kolby. i think so.

I hope he turns out to be the player you say he is. Going up against a D1 defense ain't no joke. Our Wyoming Defense (at times) has made all our Qbs look bad at times in spring and Fall camp. How will he bounce back after throwing a drive killing pick? Can he take a hit from blitzing 250 lb line backer? Football isn't played in shorts, so I hope Young can do all these things and he can help the Cowboys win. That's all I care about.

Sounds like the attitude, desire & effort is there - which is the largest part IMO.

Oh, and hats off, nine commas before the period. Well done.

I just want to see production with limited mistakes out of our Qb this season. I don't expect a Brett Smith or even an ACS, just a guy who doesn't get happy feet and have their eyes drop after taking a couple hits. Brett Smith took some of the most brutal hits I've ever seen for a Qb and never let it get to him. At times he would be running for his life at the snap of the ball, from an O line that DC called wyos best ever after the Nebraska game, lol ! All I can say is that I hope all our Qbs are tough.
