I'm really starting to like this kid. When you watch his tape, if you pay attention to his head you can see that he goes through his progression really well. He doesn't stare down receivers and his stats back that up(22 td, 3 int). He seems like a qb that is really well prepared and does the necessary work to be ready for whatever faces him. After listening to this interview, I have more confidence that he can help Wyoming. He knows more about Wyoming then most recruits we sign and a lot of Wyoming fans. You can tell he's done his research.
I know a lot of you will freak out about comparing this kid to Brett Smith, but here goes. I'm not saying they have the same physical gifts. However, after watching his tape and listening to his interview you can tell this is a kid that does his homework, works his ass off, and is very well prepared. Smith came to Laramie for spring ball to get a leg up on the competition. Aaron is doing the same thing. I can see a lot of similarities already between Smith and Young. Both of them are hard workers, both of them prepare very well, both of them do a lot of homework, both of them wanted to be Cowboys, and both of them have a massive chip on their shoulder to prove people wrong. I think under Bohl this is exactly the type of guy we need at qb.
Take a listen. You will be impressed by the mental game of Aaron Young.
