Anyone have any news, blueprints, or photos of the remodel job in progress. Just what is occurring and when is completion date?

They may be behind schedule already, I drove by at a little after 8 tonight and they were out working with headlamps on

Are we getting the new entrance, with the statue of the "king of the jumper". Not sure from the description of the attachments. Or just nicer shitters....

The statue is still part of it.

The entrance has been scaled way back from a large glass addition that wraps around the outside of about 50 percent of the AA to three small entrance areas.

junky do you know if the statue is done or in the works and did Mike Thomas outta Buffalo do it??

It's not Mike Thomas. That's who I hoped would get the contract, but I saw an article a couple of years ago that said the contract went to someone else. Mike is super cool. I got to do electrical work on his studio before.

I don't know if they finished it yet.

Known Mike for many, many years his dad was instrumental in getting my dad to Buffalo with the Game and Fish, so me too. I was curious

Yeah, no kidding. At least the inside of the building is state of the art. Maybe we'll be surprised by the outside, but the plan didn't do it any justice if it ends up looking good.

I believe someone from Green River or Rock Springs is doing it.

Really lame! It absolutely appalling what was originally proposed down to this remodel. Penny pinching and doing something half-assed again for the basketball program.

I feel like it's pretty common with modern projects. Sell a picture and idea and then scale it back drastically because of budget issues.

Wait.... Our total capacity with this new renovation is 11,000 seats? Were pulling 4000 seats out?!?!? Is this new or when did this happen? Holy hell....

It already happened. The addition of chair back seating and two large video boards dropped the capacity to 11,600.

Shit I completely missed that along the way... Damn. I guess the glory days of 16000 people cramming in the AA and sitting in aisles and walkways watching Josh Davis and company bitch slap Utah are no more. 11000 seems really sad. Am I just looking too much into this? Where does this compare to other arenas in the conference and round the country?
