Punting situation isn't looking good.

It looks okay at times. Ethan Wood averaged nearly 42 yards a punt which is decent. Looks like the big issue is handling the snaps. You would figure that would be something that could be fixed with repetition. If handling snaps can be fixed we would probably be in major trouble. Also, I think this is Ethan Wood's first real time playing football ( a little scary to think about). He apparently had a shot in HS but fumbled the snap (ironic), but he seems to have a good leg, and was a Colorado all state soccer player.

I would be more worried if we could only punt 30 yards, handling snaps can be fixed. The question is can it be fixed in 9 days?

Coach C mentioned after the last practice where the punters couldn't latch onto the balls, that he snuck wet balls in. And that it was really unfair to the kickers, cause they had no idea. In a real world situation, they would know the ball was wet...

So I am giving them a little slack...

I hadn't heard that but I was wondering if doing that might help the snapping situation. But why would he sneak wet balls in?

To see how the ywould handle it. Since they didn't handle it well he realized right away that it probably wasn't a great idea but oh well might as well see if the ycan handle it. I don't think there was many issues other than this one instance. Im not too worried about them catching the snaps at least until it starts raining. haha

we haven't had a decent kicking game since Corey Wedel, in time it'll come, i think the focus on everything else has snuck up on the Pokes and the kicking game was given an acceptable status, which was average for us, but well below average in D1 football
