You heard it hear first Wyoming will be fighting for a Bowl Berth in November
I was extremely hard on Stanard and Vigen two years ago stating that neither one would make it in Florida as high school coaches.
With Stanard gone I can see the defense improving drastically.
No more players looking around as if there lost- Just playing cowboy tough
We might even stop New Mexico's Running Attack
This will be Vigen's Year to prove he belongs.
I am a NON BELIEVER - even after last years Offensive display.
WHY ?????
Josh was good for 3-4 Wins (He surprised a lot of teams after 2-10)
We had 5-6 NFL Players on Offense (Tanner, Chase Brian and Hollister) not counting Josh and Maulhardt who got a Tryout. (Cummings)
8-6 With this talent seemed a bit below average
The Scheme was 1st Down Handoff to Hill
2nd Down Handoff to Hill
3rd Down Josh Rollout throw across your body and have Gentry make a great catch.
I failed to see an offensive scheme to get the tight end open in the middle of the field or to get the ball to Hill one on one vs. a Linebacker.
I did see the Lame Jet sweeps by Conway that only happened every time he came into the game. He sat on the bench at all other times. Can he run a regular pattern ?? Can we put him in the game on other plays so the defense doesn't know he will run the Jet Sweep ??
So while most Cowboy Fans applauded the Offense last year I was unimpressed as we haven't had that much Talent here in a Long Time
DC left some talent- Maybe Bohl Coached them up ??
Look for Iowa to control the game Saturday and Blitz Josh every play- Under 52 seems to good to be true.
6 Wins Gardner Webb, Hawaii, Texas State, Fresno, San Jose State (Air Force/Utah State)
6 Losses Iowa, Oregon, Boise, New Mexico, CSU, (Air Force/Utah State)
Lets stay healthy keep Josh on his feet and give our Fullback the Ball once in a while
NO JOSH ON 3rd and two they figured that out towards the last part of last year
