It was 5 years ago around this exact time that we were all tracking planes as soon as the press release went out that the Joe Glenn era was over.
I remember watching Mizzou in the Big 12 championship game with pure excitement. I really thought that DC was going to bring that type of offense and success to Laramie.
The quote I think we all remember best from his introductory press conference was "Winning is fun. Losing sucks." President Buchanan sent a warning to TCU, BYU, and Utah... Look out, we're coming for you.
After switching all the uniforms, the way the program operates, and the success in the first season, I thought big things were really ahead.
2011: When ACS left I thought we were doomed. However I think we all truly believed we had turned the corner and there were comparisons to the blue print of Boise State.
Obviously each of the past two years has been a major disappoint but nothing bigger than this year. In my mind, there was no way we would be any worse than 7-5.
Needless to say, tomorrow and the rest of the week will be interesting. I feel like it's 2008 replaying itself all over again!
