I'm not going to include "Coaching" in one of my reasons. We all know our coaching is something we have to overcome to win any game.
1- The line of Scrimmage- We lost it on about every play both sides of the ball. That O-line we had seen the past . two games was just a memory. This brings me to reason #2
2- 3rd Down percentage- If you can't convert on 3rd downs, you really wear down your defense and that was the . case last night. We didn't convert any crucial 3rd downs that are necessary to win games. I believe this is the . main reason we beat Tennessee. Also our punter didn't help our defense AT ALL!
3. Turnovers- I don't even need to explain that one.....
One can argue this game was lost in more than just a few ways but overall these were the problems I noticed that plagued us against UNLV. At least we have a team that can stay in the game and not get blown out. I am grateful for that.
