we should be able to be competitive with our soft conference scheduleIs this year and next year the "friendliest" back-to-back schedules in WYO history?
Do you think we will be the betting favorite for that Akron game?On paper it’s a really weak conference schedule and we are basically playing two FCS teams (Northern Iowa is probably better than Akron). Although Akron’s 4 wins last year looks pretty good compared to its 7 combined wins in the previous 5 seasons. I’m not convinced of this staff’s ability though.
I will be semi-optimistic and say we get 4 wins and 5 may be viable too.
Akron returns its starting QB from its 4 win team (pretty much best in a decade for Akron). Akron will probably be slightly favored who knows. It is one early season football game that I have no desire to attend. I’m not sure there is a less desirable FBS (and that term is used loosely) location to travel to.Do you think we will be the betting favorite for that Akron game?
I don't. My guess is an even line at best, if not a small underdog.
Once again, that first game of the season is going to tell us pretty much everything we need to know about how the season is going to go. If we lose that game, it is going to be another very long season. Surely Sawvel can't survive two disaster seasons back to back. Right?
Agreed. Hate that we are playing CU, when it fits for CU. I wished we would have played them in 2018, 2019, etc.Utah, at Colorado back to back is rough.
We played them in 2009 when they sucked and still got our ass beat.Agreed. Hate that we are playing CU, when it fits for CU. I wished we would have played them in 2018, 2019, etc.

I think CU went 3-9 that year with losses to CSU and Toledo. But they whooped us 24-0.
At least the Yewts are at 7220, 6-6 maybeUtah, at Colorado back to back is rough.
My mom and all her sibling are from Akron. My mom went to Akron U. . Akron used to be called rubber city as all the major tire companies had factories there. Then they all moved south and left behind what is a dilapidated area that would do any slum proud. Nearly every building in Akron looks like it's been condemned and is awaiting demolition. But I'll probably go and stay with relatives and drag them to the game. The stands will be mostly empty and crowd noise will not disrupt those too bored to stay awake.Akron returns its starting QB from its 4 win team (pretty much best in a decade for Akron). It’s really sad what happened to that city. Cleveland found a way to reinvigorate and create an inviting downtown. When I was doing some work in Akron, I felt like I was in a different almost third world country. It was pretty depressing. There were some pockets on the outskirts that were nice but it didn’t do enough to change my experience. My mom and all her sibling are from Akron. My mom went to Akron U. . I was there, and vividly remember. Dickface was in his first year, and our team had ZERO identity, especially at QB. I think it was right after we got smoked by Texas (in the second half) as well. For some reason, I think QB Benjamin (?) started, and played the whole game...and Arroyo was our OC (and a douche). We played them in 2009 when they sucked and still got our ass beat.
