Marketing Department

That's a chicken or the egg question. I suggest that those who did both are the most devoted fans.
Living in Laramie, I don't agree. I see a ton of kids who went to games and then went to school somewhere else and have more affinity to their alma matre.

60% to 70% of the young people leave the state by the time they are 30. I would bet that percentage is greater for UW alumni.

1700 students graduate annually. Let's say 80% leave, that's about 1400. Getting their kids in UW boosts enrollment and re-engages those alumni.

I agree with the gameday experience thoughts and think we need to engage/recruit alumni harder which will take economic incentives. Maybe we can't afford it but those are the types of things within our control. I don't think it would be unrealistic to boost enrollment by 10% by the right incentives for out of state alumni. Financially feasible? I have no idea.

You miss my point . If they both went to games and attended UW, those will be the most loyal fans.

I'd go to more games (especially this season with all the night kickoffs) if there were a charter coach from Denver. It'd be so worth paying for.

So, with the bad, come the good...

UW athletics did roll out these plans for kids (below). Although did they get the info out to the proper channels to build on the fanbase? Not sure!

An alumni through and through as well, but transfer portal and college realignment is slowly taking my love of the game away (and my working, most Saturdays as well)
