...and now, one of the better defensive coaches is leaving. Announcement as soon as tomorrow. Ouch.
Rough day for the Poke Nation.
On the bright side; the coaches expect Pittser to honor his commitment.
Peace.

Maybe DC is cleaning house. The d line play never improved from Glenn's era.

TCU turns rb into dlinemen and it seems to work for them.

When TCU does it, it works. Their coaching staff has the experience and ability to do these things. I just think if you move LBs to DL you get what you get. We can't blame the players, they give it their all. I was hoping it'd work, it didn't.Fullback41 wrote:TCU turns rb into dlinemen and it seems to work for them.

It worked out for Wyoming too. We had two guys move from LB to DE this year. After a time to get used to their new positions, they both ended the year in the top 10 in the MWC in sacks. Both were in the top 20 in tackles for loss. One made 2nd team all conference. The best thing, they are both back for their senior years.cowboyz wrote:When TCU does it, it works. Coach...not Coordinator. If you go through the staff...on the D side...there is one that stands out, that the players loved, but was so extremely handcuffed.marcuswyo wrote:Which coach is leaving?

I will guess Fanoga, they just changed his responsibilities and I know the kids all really liked him! Plus he did a very good job recruiting.

Montgomery going to Indiana is not because it is a step up. It's got nothing to do with realtionship with coaches. To act like it is a defection is ridiculous.
