I am right there with you - but hey, it is a sports message board, so it happens. LOL!LanderPoke wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 3:39 pmEh, it's all good on my end. I am a little confused if this directed at me? I am guessing not. I didn’t know anything about Frank Crum before he signed. I just really enjoyed looking back at the thoughts of those who knew who he was at the time. At the time, I didn’t see anyone supporting the signing as good for the football team. LanderPoke clearly didn’t believe so because he thought some other Laramie player (also who I’ve never heard of) had a D1 shot and attributed the signing to a thank you to Frank’s dad. I find it a compelling case for Bohl and staff seriously recognizing under recruited potential and then developing it. (Josh Allen, Logan Wilson, Marcus Epps, Frank Crum, Jordan Bertagnole, the list goes on and on, etc..)

Gibbs had loyalty……. dying character trait in my view. Way to go Cowboy, and thanks. Ride for the Brand.

He has been getting noticed by some of the scouts as well .My guess is if he shows out at the combine he might hear his name called as early as the 4th round.Itsux2beaewe wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2024 6:28 pm Gibbs had loyalty……. dying character trait in my view. Both need a really good combine. Wishing the best for them. I sometimes wonder if ufa is better than a late round pick.

But then we can't brag about UW having players be drafted (tic)ragtimejoe1 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 3:04 pm Both need a really good combine. Wishing the best for them. I sometimes wonder if ufa is better than a late round pick.

It was for Carl Granderson for the tune of $52 million. He went where he fit in and then wasn't saddled with a typical rookie contract.ragtimejoe1 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 3:04 pm Both need a really good combine. Wishing the best for them. I sometimes wonder if ufa is better than a late round pick.

Crum weighed in at 315 and then ran the 2nd fastest 40 of all offensive linemen at 4.94. He is going to be skyrocketing up draft boards.

I haven't seen anything ranking him above late round/udfa even after the combine?? Not being negative just curious if I've missed something?OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 7:42 pm Crum weighed in at 315 and then ran the 2nd fastest 40 of all offensive linemen at 4.94. A physical performance like he put on will have some teams willing to gamble in my opinion. I personally believe Crum is picked ahead of Gibbs. Right now, my pure guess is that Crum is a 5th rounder.ragtimejoe1 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 8:32 amI haven't seen anything ranking him above late round/udfa even after the combine?? More likely his performance during the season and at the Hula Bowl practices will decided whether he gets drafted. The combine may have gotten him an endorsement deal with a shampoo maker given all the air time he got and attention to his hair.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 7:42 pm Crum weighed in at 315 and then ran the 2nd fastest 40 of all offensive linemen at 4.94. I have always wondered why they do not test in full pads, it would seem to be more insightful on how they would do under game conditions.
