Well we won by 12. Second half was better. Griffin took over.

Playing Metro State close does not bode well for the season.

No. No it doesn’t. But I liked the freshman Cam Manyauw ( don’t know how to spell it). He is a good defender and rebounder and can score a bit.OrediggerPoke wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 6:32 am Playing Metro State close does not bode well for the season.
I often hear fans talk about how exhibition games don't tell you much about a team...I could not disagree more. If you can't completely dominate a Division II team at home, it is a very bad sign.
I didn't see the game, but it sounds like Kot was very inefficient in his scoring. With Walters out, I figured he would be our main scoring threat. Sounds like Griffin might be our better option there.
We shot something like 38% from the field...you will not win many Division 1 games with an offense like that. Unless Walters comes back and has a first team all-MWC season, we are in major trouble this year. I guess that is not really unexpected, but it still sucks that the small inkling of hope that was there with a completely new/unknown team has been completely snuffed out after an exhibition game.

Oh yeah, we’re not going to be good. It’s a foregone conclusion we’re probably going to stinkTheRealUW wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2023 10:53 am I often hear fans talk about how exhibition games don't tell you much about a team...I could not disagree more.
