Parade was good. Weather is all time great, and town seems to be busy. It’s a great day for football

I missed the beginning of the game -- did we get a safety? only thing I can tell from the score, but none of the stat sites show anything about it.

I haven't seen someone play like Wrook Brown in a long time. Simply amazing.
I agree with another poster, i'm not sure we've seen a RB as good as Harrison in a while and we've had some really really good RBs. His homerun ability is the main reason.

Defense looked like crap the first half last week, and looked like it regressed further today.
Are we missing some starters or just playing worse now?

Not sure. Eckler is the only one that showed up. Giving up400 yards to poop ass New Mexico is embarrassingWyomingAgJ wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 5:02 pm Defense looked like crap the first half last week, and looked like it regressed further today.

Defense played fine. They had almost zero yards rushing until they switched qbs and started rushing him. Refreshing to see coach make change at QB when it’s obvious the QB isn’t working. Their last two TDs were gifted by 3 poop calls on Kolby Taylor.
Peasley played much better. Used his legs when needed and passes looked much better. 3rd down still an issue. They brought pressure almost every time and we didn’t convert. 2-11 and one conversion was with his feet. Most of his 3rd down passes were poop.
We better find RB2

First of all, the penalties on Taylor were completely justified. The defense did not play fine. They got no pressure on the qb without blitzing. New Mexico had over 400 yards of offense. They are not a good offensive football team. They lost to New Mexico St..laxwyo wrote: ↑Sat Sep 30, 2023 6:03 pm Defense played fine. If the defense plays like that next week. Fresno will score 50.
I still think Sam Scott is RB number 2. He just needs a few more carries.

Eckler had a couple nice hits on the QB. But the rest of the guys? There was some piss poor tackling. Taylor must have pissed off the refs cuz they were prepared to throw flags on him for the slightest infraction. That late hit penalty on the sideline was BS, he was in bounds. And there should have been a PI on the bozos in the end zone. Typical MW refs. Couldn’t get this gig anywhere else they’re so bad.
I believe college needs to change the PI penalty to that of the NFL. Fifteen yards on a fifty yard pass only encourages interference when it appears that not interfering will result in a big gain or TD

it was pretty windy in the stadium. I thought Peasley threw the ball very well in the wind.
Waylee has NFL speed. I'd love to see us throw him some screen passes or run him on a wheel route.
Overall, as someone else stated, we still can't convert 3d down. And we let them convert way too many 3d downs.
Next week is our biggest home game since Boise st. last year. I think we have a better team than last year but I guess we'll find out.
