Given the statement, probably was mutual and became clear that he would be buried on the QB depth chart.

I think I see an opening for him at Northeastern Montana State Normal Teachers College.

Should have converted him to the DL.

Graduating too. Wonder if he was in top 3 if he would have transferred. From what I gather, Svoboda is battling for the backup spot. We had 6 QBs and trimmed to 4. It was bound to happen.

Caden Becker moves from QB to DE, then decided to transfer as a TE

Pregnon cited the need to ‘level up’ when revealing he is leaving. WTF.

What a butt wipe. Use Wyoming for two years and poop on everything that was given him. This is getting old AF. Hopefully he never sees the field again

I’m numb, after all the basketball transfers and now football. I guess just get use to it, sigh…..

Did "God" really have anything to do with this, or was it just free-will to fk over the place that gave you a shot and got you to a point where pride overcame conviction?

...asking for a friend...

If you believe his Twitter he received about 5 or 6 P5 offers within a few hours. Nothing fishy going on here at all folks.

Hate the game not the player. I'm really starting to hate the game. Between NIL, transfer, and I'll just say title ix considerations, I'm losing interest in college athletics quickly. It's a $ h i t show.

Everyone can speculate on fixes, but the only way it will resolve is if fans walk away. It won't happen which is why college athletics is a take it or leave it proposition. I'm leaning towards the latter.

Rumor on twitter is that Josh and his longtime girl split. Some smoke that he might have knocked up someone. New Puss always > Old Puss regardless of how fine his ole lady was.

This is relevant to this thread because Josh appears to have entered the dating transfer portal.

The transfer portal and NIL have changed college sports forever. As far as I can tell, Wyoming football and basketball are now minor leagues for the Power 5. Wyoming has always been a developmental program,. The difference now is instead of 3 or 4 years before trying to go pro, the athletes can now go to another school and/or cash in after one year. This trend cannot go on. It is not just Wyoming but college sports everywhere which are suffering. Even the Power 5 schools should be able to see this is not sustainable. I hope in the not too distant future that some rules are put into place to at least make the process more predictable.

Another interesting quote

“Wyoming does a good job out there, man,” the Big 12 personnel official said. “They’re one of the best developmental programs in the country. They do a really good job. Tip of the hat to freakin’ Wyoming. Every guy they have that gets in (the portal) goes somewhere big. People forget Craig Bohl was the one who started that North Dakota State train up over there. The guy knows what he’s doing over there.”
