Interesting Read Today...War Memorial Updates

Read an article (can't find it now) regarding UW's request for roughly $75 million from the state for the complete tear-down and renovation of the War's side stands (to include outdoor luxury boxes, updated press boxes, and seat-back seating in the lower section) - paired with a complete pool renovation - to make the pool a new 50m facility, etc.

I will keep looking for the link - but quite interesting if somebody finds it. I am thinking the lower west stands with seat-back seating will come at a premium for season ticket holders, and be executed similar to the awful AA reseating situation.

My question is what's going to become of the fieldhouse. We're just going to let it sit there forever and be old and decrepit?

Hi McPeachy. For those without a Boomerang subscription, here is another link to possibly the same article. However, I don't see any details in this story concerning the specific WAR renovations (mentioned in your initial post.) May be a shortened version, I don't know.

That looks like a watered down version of it. Wish I could help out here - but copyright rules the day.
